A Web is not just for the spider
but to spread our news even wider.
Come and join us, goes the song
to be far too busy and happy can’t be wrong.
So, we’ve rallied the troops
and formed many groups,
with outings and meetings galore.
So if you’ve a yen for an outing with Ken,
or maybe a shorter hike with Mike,
whichever you choose there’s nothing to lose.
You can always reckon refreshments beckon
and the day’s walk to peruse.
The luncheon club, a happy bunch
who meet in the pub every Tuesday for lunch.
Learn another language, our leaders are well versed,
when they hear you chatting,
they’ll feel reimbursed.
Art and theatre are to the fore
with drama and musicals and much more.
Exercise and games both indoor and out,
Tai chi, bowls, cribbage and Scrabble,
all is going on for you to dabble.

The leaders and committee never shirk
but continue to do all the hard work .
We’ll be right behind them come what may,
they’ll keep us together for many a day.
So let us smile when we meet,
it will spread round the room
for here at Skegness U3A
there’s no time for doom or gloom.
